Rotary dryer

1. Scope of application:
 
        According to the contact methods of materials and heat carriers, it can be divided into direct heating type, indirect heating type and composite heating type. It is a dryer that handles a large amount of material drying. It is widely used in metallurgy, building materials, light industry and other departments. It has reliable operation, large operability, strong adaptability and large processing capacity.
 
2. Working principle:
 
        The wet materials that need to be dried are sent to the feeding hopper by a belt conveyor or a hoist, and then enter the material end through the feeding pipe. The slope of the feeding tube is greater than the natural inclination of the material, so that the material can enter the dryer smoothly. The dryer cylinder is a rotating cylinder slightly inclined from the horizontal line. The material is added from the higher end, and the heating medium is in contact with the material. With the rotation of the cylinder, the material moves to the lower end under the action of gravity. In the process, the material and the heat carrier exchange heat directly or indirectly, so that the material is dried, and then sent out through a belt conveyor or a screw conveyor.

3. Structural characteristics:
 
The drum dryer is composed of the feed end, the tank, the discharge end, the heat source and the matching dust removal system. There is a feeding slide tube in the feeding end for feeding the material into the drum. There is a lifting plates on the inner wall of the drum, and its role is to throw and sprinkle the material, so that the contact surface between the material and the air flow is increased to increase the drying rate and promote the material to advance. The transmission part of the machine is open gear transmission, which can be equipped with an electromagnetic speed regulating motor or a variable frequency speed regulating motor, and the speed of the drum can be adjusted as required. The tail end of the dryer has a discharge end, and the lower end of the discharge end is equipped with a discharge valve. The form of the discharge valve is a gravity type or an electric air lock valve. The upper part of the discharge end is provided with an air exhaust port for extracting the dust-containing and water-containing exhaust gas from the tank and discharged after being processed by the dust removal system.
